A pro-Tinubu support group, PBAT AGAIN 2027, has intensified early mobilisation efforts in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the inauguration of a new office in Ibadan.

The convener of the initiative, Kunle Adeleke, described the move as a strategic step aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and consolidating political support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Southwest.

Speaking during the commissioning of the office located on Obafemi Awolowo Road, Oke Bola, Adeleke emphasised that the project represents more than the unveiling of a physical structure but rather a structured platform for coordination, political organisation and sustained engagement.

He explained that the initiative is anchored on continuity, national stability and progress, adding that it seeks to reinforce ongoing reforms under the current administration.

According to him, the newly established office will serve as a hub for mobilisation across Oyo State and beyond, as well as a centre for policy dialogue, youth inclusion and political education.

“Oyo State remains a critical political hub in the Southwest, with a legacy of leadership and strategic influence. Establishing a strong institutional presence here is essential to shaping the future we seek,” Adeleke said.

He stressed that the success of the movement would depend on early planning, unity and disciplined execution, urging members to prioritise integrity, loyalty and collective goals over personal ambition.

Adeleke also highlighted the importance of youth and women’s participation, describing their involvement as indispensable to the success of the group’s objectives.

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, who attended the event, expressed optimism about delivering over one million votes for President Tinubu in the next election cycle.

In his remarks, the Oyo State APC chairman, Otunba Moses Adeyemo, said the opening of the office signals a renewed push to galvanise support for the president.

He urged party stakeholders and members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the polls.

Similarly, Senator Fatai Buhari commended the initiative, describing it as forward-looking and impactful.

He noted that the development sends a strong message to political actors and non-political stakeholders on the need to contribute meaningfully to governance and national development.

APC chieftain and governorship hopeful, Akeem Agbaje, emphasised the importance of unity within the party, warning against internal divisions and imposition of candidates.

He noted that lessons from previous elections underscore the need for inclusiveness and credible leadership.

Other party leaders, including Senator Sarafadeen Alli and Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, alongside several stakeholders, lauded the initiative, describing it as timely and strategic for building momentum toward the 2027 elections.

They also praised the Tinubu administration’s efforts in areas such as economic reforms, education, infrastructure and social development, arguing that continuity would ensure sustained progress.

Earlier, the Oyo State coordinator of the group, Olatunde Sunmonu, described the commissioning as a landmark moment for supporters of the president in the state.

He noted that the office would serve as a platform for mobilisation, engagement and policy dialogue, aligned with the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.

The event drew participation from party leaders, community representatives and stakeholders across various zones in the state, underscoring growing political activity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
