The Ondo State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) was officially inaugurated on Tuesday as part of the strategic efforts to mobilize grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Imo State Governor and Director-General of the RHA, delivered the keynote address through the group’s Southwest Coordinator and Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dayo Adeyeye.
Uzodimma cited ongoing developmental milestones since 2023 – including nationwide hospital renovations, road construction, and the expansion of student loan schemes – as primary reasons for the President’s deserved re-election.
During the ceremony, Uzodimma inaugurated 18 local government coordinators, charging them to maintain discipline and coordinate a structured movement to ensure the president’s second-term success.
Representing the newly appointed coordinators, Ondo State Coordinator Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan described the RHA as a civic enlightenment platform.
He noted that the group aims to bridge communication gaps between the government and the citizenry, counter misinformation, and increase public awareness of ongoing reforms.
Olabimtan revealed that the RHA will deploy over 400 canvassers across 25 local units to conduct town halls, market outreaches, and community engagements.
The strategy, he said, is designed to translate complex government policies into accessible information while gathering citizen feedback.
He highlighted key achievements such as improved passport processing and the Lagos–Calabar Superhighway as evidence of long-term development planning.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who also spoke at the event, described the RHA participants as the “frontline drivers” of the Renewed Hope agenda.
He emphasised that the platform serves as an active structure for promoting continuity and progress within the state.
Aiyedatiwa urged the ambassadors to prioritise disciplined and credible mobilisation over “noise-making”.
He stressed the importance of using local dialects to ensure clarity and consistency in their messaging.
The governor further highlighted the synergy between federal and state priorities, noting Ondo’s alignment with national goals in tourism, the blue economy, and industrial expansion.
He reaffirmed that the central objective remains building a strong political network to secure President Tinubu’s victory in 2027.
