Funke Akindele’s forthcoming movie, The Four: No One Fights Alone, has sold out its London premiere ahead of its Nigerian cinema release.
FilmOne Entertainment, the movie’s distributor, confirmed the development on Thursday, saying tickets for the November 29 premiere at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square were no longer available.
“We are officially sold out! You made this happen! The premiere of The Four at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square is officially sold out, and we couldn’t be more grateful,” FilmOne said in its announcement.
Akindele had earlier announced the United Kingdom premiere, describing the screening at the iconic London cinema as a historic moment for Nigerian cinema.
“LONDON, WE’RE COMING! History is about to be made. Funke Akindele Network and FilmOne Entertainment are proud to announce the UK premiere of THE FOUR at the iconic ODEON Luxe Leicester Square, London, on 29 November,” she wrote on Instagram.
The film is scheduled to open in Nigerian cinemas nationwide on December 11, 2026, with FilmOne Entertainment handling its distribution.
The London sell-out adds momentum to the film’s international rollout, with The Four also scheduled to begin its UK cinema run on December 4, according to reports on the film’s release plans.
Produced by Funke Akindele Network, The Four: No One Fights Alone is a drama centred on friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength of women.
The story follows Esosa and three women who leave their community for the city in a bid to secure the future of a young man they love.
Akindele leads an ensemble cast featuring Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola.
Singers Waje and Shoday are also part of the cast.
The project comes as Akindele continues a strong run at the box office.
Her recent productions include A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa and Behind the Scenes, with the latter reported to have crossed the N2 billion mark in box-office earnings.
