The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked reports claiming it has released the official list of successful candidates from its recently concluded primary elections, describing the purported publication as false and unauthorised.
The ruling party issued the clarification in a public notice signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, and shared on the APC’s official X account.
According to the party, no official list of successful candidates has been released, warning members, stakeholders and the general public against relying on unverified reports circulating on various platforms.
“The public is therefore advised to disregard any publication or report purporting to announce the outcome of the primaries, as such information is false and unauthorised,” the notice stated.
The APC explained that the outcome of the primary elections would be communicated through its established official channels after the completion of the necessary internal processes.
It added that successful candidates would be formally notified before the issuance of their Certificates of Return in accordance with the party’s laid-down procedures.
The party further urged its members, supporters and the general public to rely exclusively on official APC communications for accurate information regarding the results of the primary elections.
The disclaimer comes amid heightened public interest following the conclusion of the party’s primaries, with various unverified lists circulating online claiming to contain the names of candidates who emerged victorious.
