Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has been laid to rest in Iperu Remo, Ijebu, Ogun State, with family, friends and colleagues gathering to bid her farewell.
Several actors attended the burial ceremony, including Foluke Daramola and other members of the Nigerian film industry.
Osoba died in August at the age of 40. Her death was announced by fellow actor Alesh Sanni in an Instagram post.
Before her death, Osoba had reportedly battled breast cancer and survived the illness.
Controversy followed her death over allegations that she was maltreated by her supposed fiancé, Itunu Onadeko, Shepherd-in-Charge of Celestial Church of Christ, Onibuore Cathedral, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, and members of his family.
Onadeko, however, denied the allegations during an interview, saying Osoba died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos.
He said he only learnt of her death after receiving a call from an unidentified person who claimed to be calling from Mainland.
Onadeko also alleged that Osoba struggled with drug addiction, which he said significantly affected her, while maintaining that he never bullied her despite the challenges.
The circumstances surrounding her final days remain disputed, with the allegations against Onadeko yet to be independently established.
