The Lagos State Deputy Governor has received official clearance from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Screening Committee following a session in Abuja.
In a statement shared on X on Saturday, the deputy governor confirmed his appearance before the committee, which is conducting internal party procedures in preparation for the upcoming governorship primaries.
He expressed gratitude for the “clean bill of approval” and the clearance to proceed with his political ambitions.
This development follows his formal submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 gubernatorial election on Thursday.
He characterised the move as a mission of service and responsibility, aimed at building a Lagos that serves every family, business, and resident.
The deputy governor emphasised that his political journey is focused on creating a more inclusive and prosperous state.
Reaffirming his readiness to lead, he stated that his work continues as he prepares to take the next steps in his governance journey.
