Popular Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, widely known as D’Banj, has donated three Sienna space buses to support lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi’s bid for the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 House of Representatives election.

D’Banj presented the fully branded vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, Osun State, on Thursday, in a gesture the politician said came as a surprise.

Olajengbesi disclosed the development in a Facebook post on Friday, explaining that the singer had contacted him about two weeks earlier to request the contact details of the person handling his campaign branding.

According to him, he initially believed D’Banj needed the contact for his CREAM project, an initiative focused on supporting young creatives.

After sharing the contact, however, Olajengbesi said he was surprised to receive three branded Sienna buses from the singer.

He subsequently contacted D’Banj to confirm the reason for the gesture.

“It’s my token of support,” Olajengbesi quoted the singer as telling him.

Expressing appreciation, the lawyer described the donation as a major show of support for his political journey and said he did not take the gesture for granted.

The development adds to a series of public endorsements and support for Olajengbesi’s ambition to represent Oriade-Obokun in the National Assembly.

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, had earlier endorsed Olajengbesi’s 2027 ambition.

Davido described him on Instagram as his “other project” and expressed support for his candidacy.

Olajengbesi is contesting the seat on the platform of the Accord party, having secured the party’s ticket for the federal constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.

He served as campaign spokesman for the re-election bid of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke during the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

He is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in the state.

The lawyer, who turned 40 in August, previously contested the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency seat in 2019.

His 2027 campaign has also received support from other prominent figures, including Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, who publicly backed his candidacy in September.

Olajengbesi has said his campaign is focused on securing what he describes as stronger youth representation and bringing a new approach to representation in the constituency.
