Oyo State APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has hailed Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her contributions to public service and humanitarian interventions as she marks her 66th birthday.
Alli, in a congratulatory message on Monday, described Tinubu’s years in public life as an example of how political office could be used to improve the lives of citizens, particularly women, children and other vulnerable groups.
He singled out the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative, which has undertaken interventions in areas including education, healthcare and support for disadvantaged Nigerians.
According to Alli, Tinubu’s record demonstrates that leadership extends beyond occupying political positions to creating opportunities and providing support for people in need.
“On behalf of my family, the people of Oyo State and the entire APC family in the state, I heartily congratulate our mother, leader and First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, on attaining the remarkable age of 66.
“Your life is a testament to the virtues of service, compassion, resilience and unwavering commitment to humanity,” he said.
Alli also highlighted Tinubu’s advocacy for women and girls, saying her activities had reinforced the need for inclusive development.
He noted that her public service record, including three terms in the Senate, had given her considerable experience in governance and national affairs.
“All Nigerians can see the passion with which you have championed initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women, children and other vulnerable members of society,” Alli said.
The Oyo APC candidate further commended the First Lady for what he described as her contribution to nation-building across political, ethnic and religious lines.
“Your Excellency, your contributions to nation-building have transcended political, ethnic and religious boundaries.
“You have consistently demonstrated that compassion and service to humanity remain among the highest responsibilities of leadership,” he said.
Alli also acknowledged Tinubu’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and her role in promoting the values of family, faith and service.
He prayed for the First Lady to enjoy many more years of good health, wisdom and strength, while continuing her work in support of Nigerians.
“May this new chapter bring you greater grace, renewed strength and abundant blessings.
“May God continue to strengthen you and grant you the wisdom and courage to remain a source of hope and inspiration to millions of Nigerians.
“Happy 66th birthday, Your Excellency. Nigeria is grateful for your service, compassion and dedication,” Alli said.
