The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has approved the appointment of Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka as the new Head of Service in the state.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, following the statutory retirement of the immediate past Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya.
According to the statement, Saka was, until his elevation, serving as the Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services.
The government noted that the new Head of Service began his career in the Ogun State Public Service as a classroom teacher on Grade Level 08 on May 15, 1993.
He later transitioned into the mainstream civil service in 2006 as a Senior Administrative Officer on Grade Level 09.
Born on February 15, 1968, Saka was described as an experienced administrator with strong expertise in policy coordination and implementation.
The statement further highlighted his membership of notable professional bodies, including the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.
He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Policy Management Development.
The Ogun State Government said the appointment reflects recognition of Saka’s dedication, commitment to duty, and years of meritorious service within the state public service.
