The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, is set to formally unveil his manifesto, tagged Oyo AHEAD (Itayo Oyo), on Tuesday in Ibadan.
The manifesto presentation will take place at the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, opposite the main gate of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, according to a statement issued by the campaign organisation.
The event is expected to bring together stakeholders from different sectors of Oyo State, including representatives of the organised private sector, labour unions, community development associations, farmers, students, artisans, academics, traders, women’s groups and non-indigenes.
Also expected at the event are APC candidates contesting various elective positions in the 2027 elections, as well as leaders of the party in the state.
According to the Director of Media and Publicity of the Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organization (SSACO), Bisi Oladele, the manifesto unveiling will mark the official presentation of Alli’s proposed development blueprint for Oyo State.
Oladele said Senator Alli would present the manifesto sector by sector, outlining his plans for the state and providing details of the policies and programmes he intends to pursue if elected governor.
The campaign organisation described Oyo AHEAD, also known as Itayo Oyo, as a practical and people-centred roadmap focused on accelerating development across the state.
It said the blueprint was designed to position Oyo State ahead on key development indicators and restore its status as a pace-setting state.
The manifesto presentation comes as political parties and their candidates begin preparations for the 2027 elections, with policy proposals and development plans expected to feature prominently in engagements with voters and other stakeholders.
For Senator Alli, Tuesday’s event will provide an opportunity to publicly set out his priorities across various sectors and explain how his campaign intends to translate the proposed blueprint into programmes for Oyo State.
