The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State has expanded its 2027 governorship campaign structure with new committee members and a fresh Community Relations and Voters’ Education Committee as the party intensifies preparations for the general elections.

Director-General of the Oyo APM Governorship Campaign Council, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, announced the changes in a statement issued on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

Under the restructuring, the existing Mobilisation Committee has been divided into six specialised units covering youth and women, workers and pensioners, religious organisations, groups and volunteers, ethnic groups, and traders and artisans.

The expanded committees are scheduled for formal inauguration at the Local Government Hall, Secretariat, Ibadan, on Friday at 3 p.m.

Adeniran said the changes were intended to strengthen coordination, improve grassroots mobilisation and widen participation in the campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

The newly created Community Relations and Voters’ Education Committee is chaired by Olufemi Josiah, with Oladele Dauda Tokunbo, Folawiyo Monshood and Olaide Tijani as members.

Other committees receiving additional members are Media and Publicity; Logistics and Transportation; Reconciliation and Contacts; Protocol and Accommodation; Venue and Stage; Welfare and Medical; and Security and Traffic.

Among the new appointees are Moses Olayinka Tella, Mariam Taofeek and Jadesola Ibitoye on Media and Publicity; Akande Olabisi Ayinde, Joel Oyelami Oyeyemi, Oludayo Opatokun, Kamoru Adayemi and Dr. Olawale Aremu on Logistics and Transportation.

Mufu Ogunremi, Adigun Tajudeen Adeniyi, Adesanya Bamidele Solomon and Oladepo Kazeem Adebowale were listed under Reconciliation and Contacts, while Maruf Balogun, Yusuf Adekunle, Gbadegesin Waheed, Ajala Abraham and Ajao Tolulope Deborah were added to Protocol and Accommodation.

The six mobilisation subcommittees will be coordinated by designated leaders.

Kazeem Olalekan Bello and Mrs. Toyin Olaniran will coordinate the Youth and Women Contact Committee, while Dr. Wasiu Olantubosun will lead the Workers and Pensioners’ Contact Committee.

Rev. Olufemi Ibikunle, Alhaji AbulRasheed Azeez and Dr. Fayemi Fatunde will coordinate the Religious Contact Committee, while Alhaji Adebisi Rasheed will head the Groups and Volunteers Support Committee.

Tallest Innocent will coordinate the Ethnic Group Committee, while Agba Akin Benedict Akika JP will lead the Traders and Artisans Support Committee.

Additional appointments were also made to the Venue and Stage Committee, Welfare and Medical Committee and Security and Traffic Committee.

Expansion of the structure comes shortly after APM released the broader composition of its Oyo State presidential and governorship campaign council, which includes committees for mobilisation, reconciliation, media, logistics, welfare and security.

The party has also been building its grassroots machinery at the local-government level.

In October, the Adeniran-led campaign council inaugurated campaign committees across the 33 local government areas of the state, reinforcing its focus on ward and community-level mobilisation.

Adeniran expressed confidence that the latest restructuring would improve the council’s ability to engage communities, mobilise supporters, promote voter education and coordinate campaign activities across Oyo State.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening stakeholder engagement and developing a campaign structure capable of advancing the party’s electoral objectives in the 2027 general elections.
