Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organisation (SSACO) has commiserated with the family of Yinusa Popoola Amole, the 54-year-old driver of Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso, who died following a road accident on the Ijebu-Ode Road.
Amole died on Thursday night after sustaining injuries in the crash while travelling with members of Crown FC, popularly known as the Ajilete Warriors, to Ijebu-Ode for the AFH Pre-Season Tournament ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

In a condolence message he personally signed, the APC gubernatorial candidate described the incident as a major tragedy for Oyo State football.
Alli said he received the news of the accident involving Crown FC with “rude shock and profound grief”, adding that Amole’s death was particularly painful because he died while serving the state.
He described the deceased as a loyal, dedicated and hardworking member of the Crown FC family who played an important role in the club’s operations.
“This is heartbreaking in its rawest form. To lose Mr. Yinusa Amole, a loyal, dedicated and hardworking man who died in active service to our darling state, is devastating,” Alli said.
“He was not just a driver; he was part of the engine room of Crown FC. His death is a sad loss.”
The senator extended his condolences to Amole’s immediate family, as well as the chairman, management, technical crew, players and supporters of Crown FC and the wider Ogbomoso community.
He acknowledged the difficulty of coming to terms with the loss, saying, “No words can be enough at this moment.”
Alli also expressed concern for the other victims of the accident, praying for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured players and officials currently receiving medical treatment.
“I also pray for the speedy and complete recovery of our injured players and officials who are currently receiving treatment. May God speed up their healing,” he said.
According to Alli, Crown FC remains an important symbol of Oyo State’s sporting identity and resilience, stressing that the club would continue to enjoy his solidarity during the difficult period.
He prayed for God to grant the Crown FC family and Amole’s loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
