The Imole Campaign Council has pledged to mobilise 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election following the appointment of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the president’s re-election campaign.
The group said it would deploy its political structures across Osun to support Tinubu’s second-term ambition, expressing confidence in Adeleke’s ability to coordinate efforts towards securing the president’s victory in the state.
The Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council, Olalere Oyewumi, disclosed the pledge in a statement on Tuesday, October 13, while welcoming Adeleke’s appointment to the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council.
The statement was issued by Olalekan Badmus, the governor’s special assistant on digital media.
Oyewumi described Adeleke’s appointment as well-deserved, assuring Tinubu that the confidence placed in the governor would translate into support for his re-election bid.
He said, “The Imole Campaign Council welcomes the appointment of Governor Adeleke as state coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced.
“We promise the president, just like Governor Adeleke had said some time ago, that we will deliver 1.5 million votes to ensure his victory in the coming presidential election.”
Imole council urges Osun residents to support Tinubu
The campaign council also urged residents of Osun State to continue supporting Adeleke, linking the governor’s political interests to Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
According to the group, supporting the president in the 2027 election would also amount to supporting Adeleke’s administration and its commitment to fulfilling campaign promises.
The council stated that residents should maintain their confidence in the governor as he continues to implement his agenda for the state.
It added, “A vote for President Tinubu is a support for Governor Adeleke.”
