The All Progressives Congress (APC) will on Wednesday, October 14, inaugurate President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.

The ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, according to a statement issued by the party on Tuesday.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who signed the statement dated October 13, said the party had also released an updated list of members of the campaign council ahead of the inauguration.

Morka clarified that attendance at the ceremony would be restricted to the leadership of the council’s various directorates.

“Please note that only the leadership of the various Directorates of the Presidential Campaign Council are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony,” the statement said.

Among the prominent figures included in the revised list are Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Wike was appointed campaign coordinator for Tinubu in Rivers State and the FCT, while Soludo and Adeleke will coordinate the campaign in Anambra and Osun states respectively.

The list also features several serving governors, federal ministers, legislators and former political office holders in various campaign leadership positions.

Former Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo was named one of the Campaign Council Advisers, alongside Obafemi George, who will advise on media matters.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu was appointed Deputy Director General (South II), while Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker Martin Amaewhule was named South-South Deputy Coordinator for State Assemblies Mobilisation.

Minister of Works David Umahi will serve as Deputy Director General for Infrastructure and Sensitisation.

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was named Director of Finance, while Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Nigeria Revenue Service Chairman Zacch Adedeji will coordinate fundraising.

Other appointments include Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, House of Representatives member Abdulmumin Jibrin, Wike’s media aide Lere Olayinka and Segun Sowunmi, who were listed for media communications.

Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo was appointed Deputy Director for Sports Sector Mobilisation, while Ayiri Emami was named Director for Special Duties.

Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje will head Stakeholder Mobilisation, while former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola was named South-West Zonal Coordinator for Stakeholders’ Mobilisation.

The inauguration marks a formal step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with the revised council bringing together political figures and stakeholders assigned responsibilities across different sectors and regions.
