Police identified the suspects as Sunday Obasola, 29; Kayode Bamikole, 28; and Durodoye Ayobami, 23.
According to the command, the arrests followed a distress call received at about 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, reporting that armed men were attacking members of the public and dispossessing them of their belongings around the junction.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the command said the Divisional Police Officer of Oluyole Division immediately deployed a patrol team to the scene after receiving the report.
The officers reportedly confronted the suspects, leading to their arrest and the recovery of items suspected to be connected with the alleged robbery.
Items recovered included a black TVS motorcycle with registration number AKN 808 QF, a cut-to-size locally fabricated pistol and one live cartridge.
The police said the recovered items had been secured as exhibits to support further investigation.
