Nigeria’s sprint hurdler, Tobi Amusan, delivered another commanding performance on Sunday to qualify for the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Paris Diamond League after convincingly winning her heat.

The former world champion crossed the finish line in an impressive 12.39 seconds under legal wind conditions of +0.4m/s, comfortably finishing ahead of her rivals to secure automatic qualification for the final.

Amusan showed her class throughout the race before pulling clear in the closing stages, extending her impressive run of performances on the Diamond League circuit this season.

The Nigerian star finished ahead of the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser, who claimed second place with a season’s best time of 12.44 seconds. Jamaica’s Demisha Roswell completed the top three after clocking 12.46 seconds.

The latest victory further underlines Amusan’s strong form as she continues her quest for another Diamond League title and builds momentum ahead of major international competitions later in the season.

Having consistently delivered impressive displays in recent meets, the Nigerian hurdler will head into the final with confidence as she seeks another podium finish in Paris.
