The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has announced the upcoming launch of Rev360, a next-generation revenue administration platform designed to modernise the nation’s tax ecosystem.
Scheduled to go live on April 30, 2026, the platform marks the transition to what the NRS calls “Tax Administration 3.0”.
In a statement released Thursday, the NRS explained that Rev360 will provide an advanced, intelligent, and integrated system to meet the growing demands of taxpayers and the broader economy.
The initiative is part of a larger federal government effort to simplify the Nigerian tax system, boost compliance, and increase national revenue.
The announcement follows a significant overhaul of the country’s tax landscape.
Effective January 1, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) was officially rebranded as the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) as part of a broader reform to streamline collection processes.
Rev360 represents a major evolution from previous digital efforts.
While the earlier TaxPro Max platform enabled electronic filing and reduced the need for physical interactions, Rev360 aims for deeper integration.
The new system will feature end-to-end automation, real-time reporting, and tax processes embedded directly into taxpayers’ existing operational systems.
“This shift enables faster processing, improved decision-making, enhanced compliance, and a more seamless user experience,” the NRS stated, noting that the platform aligns with global best practices and the service’s technological advancement strategy.
To ensure a stable transition, the NRS will adopt a phased rollout. The first phase of implementation will target “Medium and Emerging Taxpayers” following a successful pilot programme.
The commission also emphasized that it is currently conducting comprehensive communication, training, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to prepare all users for the April 2026 launch.
