Veteran Ibadan broadcaster Saheed Alatise, popularly known as “Oba Irawo,” has been appointed Operations Manager of Honor 103.5FM, Ibadan.
Alatise’s appointment is part of efforts by the radio station to strengthen its operations, improve content quality and deepen engagement with its audience across the Southwest.
The media house’s Chief Operations Officer, Seun Awodele, announced the appointment in a statement, saying Alatise’s extensive experience in media production would be valuable to the station’s continued growth.
According to Awodele, the new Operations Manager is expected to contribute to the station’s daily operations, ensure seamless programming and promote innovation across its activities.
He added that the appointment was part of ongoing strategic improvements aimed at enhancing service delivery and positioning Honor 103.5FM as a top-tier media organisation in the Southwest.
Alatise brings years of broadcasting experience to the new position, having worked with several radio stations in Ibadan.
His previous stations include King 103.9FM, Noble 107.1FM and Abinibi FM, where he built a reputation as an indigenous broadcaster and presenter.
Following his appointment, Alatise pledged to deliver effectively in his new role and called on listeners and members of his audience to continue to follow him as he begins a new chapter with Honor 103.5FM.
The appointment further adds to the growing movement of experienced indigenous broadcasters taking on broader management and programming responsibilities within Ibadan’s competitive radio industry.
With his background in presentation and media production, Alatise is expected to play a role in strengthening the station’s programming, operational efficiency and connection with its audience.
