The League of Veteran Journalists (LVJ), Oyo State Council, has scheduled Thursday, May 28, 2026, to elect its new set of leaders.
According to a press release signed by the chairman of the electoral committee, Shola Akinuli, and the secretary, Omodele Idris, the election will be held at the LVJ House, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan, at 2 p.m.
The emerging exco member will take their oath of office immediately after.
Interested members will vie for the positions of chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer, publicity secretary, social secretary, internal auditor, and welfare officer.
The release urged interested candidates to collect nomination forms at the state LVJ House, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
Submission of nomination forms, it added. will close April 30, after which campaigns run from May 1 through May 21.
