Pupils who participated in the 2026 Placement Screening Exercise for admission into Junior Secondary Schools in Oyo State can now access their results, following the release announced by the state government.
Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, disclosed the development in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan on Friday.
He said the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, had directed head teachers and other relevant education stakeholders to liaise with Local Inspectors of Education in their respective local government areas to collect the results of participating pupils.
According to Olayiwola, the release represents a significant step towards facilitating a smooth transition of pupils from primary schools to Junior Secondary School One for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The commissioner said the process was designed to uphold fairness, credibility and efficiency in the placement of pupils across the state.
He congratulated candidates who successfully secured placement and urged them to remain focused as they begin the next stage of their education.
Olayiwola also advised the pupils to approach their transition to junior secondary school with seriousness, discipline and determination.
He stressed that sustained commitment to their studies would play an important role in determining their academic success as they progress through the education system.
The state government said the release of the placement results is part of efforts to ensure an orderly and transparent transition from primary education to junior secondary education across Oyo State.
