The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State for the 2027 election, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has congratulated Archbishop Francis Wale Oke on his 70th birthday.

Alli described the renowned cleric as one of the foremost spiritual figures produced by Ibadan, saying his decades of Christian service had brought honour to Oyo State and touched lives beyond Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the senator praised Wale Oke for what he described as his exceptional contributions to spiritual development, leadership and the advancement of the Christian faith.

He said the archbishop’s influence had extended across communities, cities and nations through his evangelistic and leadership activities.

“On behalf of my family and the APC family in Oyo State, I warmly congratulate one of our state’s most illustrious figures, Archbishop Francis Wale Oke, as he marks the landmark age of 70 years today,” Alli said.

The APC candidate also described the celebrant as a generational leader, reformer and dependable voice for peace and national development.

According to Alli, Wale Oke’s commitment over the past five decades to “destiny moulding, spiritual upliftment, and the expansion of the Christian faith” remained remarkable.

He further commended the archbishop’s leadership record, particularly his service in various capacities within the Christian community.

Alli singled out Wale Oke’s current position as national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), citing it as a notable example of his leadership and influence.

The senator described the cleric as a “kingdom general” whose global exploits in spreading the gospel had positively affected numerous people and communities.

“As you continue to expand the Kingdom and impact destinies, I pray for renewed grace, robust health, and many more fruitful years,” Alli added.

He said Ibadan and Oyo State had every reason to be proud of the archbishop’s achievements and contribution to society.

The birthday message comes as Archbishop Wale Oke marks seven decades of life and more than five decades of involvement in Christian ministry.
