The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has described former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin, as a pillar of the party, praising his political experience, loyalty and contributions to the development of Oyo State.
Alli made the remarks in a congratulatory message personally signed by him to mark Folarin’s 63rd birthday on Friday, October 30, 2026.
Other Oyo APC figures also felicitated the former lawmaker on the milestone, highlighting his longstanding role in the party and state politics.
According to Alli, Folarin’s six decades of life have been characterised by public service, political courage, resilience and commitment to Oyo State and Nigeria.
He described the former Senate Leader as an exceptional political leader and statesman whose political journey, particularly his time in the National Assembly, had given him experience that remained valuable to the APC.
Alli said Folarin’s influence extended beyond the elective offices he had occupied, noting his ability to build political relationships, mobilise structures and provide strategic direction.
He also commended Folarin’s involvement in President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope political agenda, particularly his role as the APC Presidential Campaign Council coordinator in Oyo State.

“At 63, he remains a formidable political asset, a dependable ally and a strategic voice in the struggle to reposition Oyo State and strengthen the APC.”
Alli further acknowledged Folarin’s sacrifices, political investments and commitment to party unity, particularly as the APC continues efforts to consolidate its structures and expand its presence across Oyo State.
