Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has declared that the state will deliver massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Aiyedatiwa made the declaration on Friday when he received the Ondo State leadership of the City Boy Movement, a pro-Tinubu political group, at the Governor’s Office in Akure.
The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, said his administration’s achievements in infrastructure, employment and youth empowerment would strengthen support for Tinubu’s re-election.
According to him, the state’s commitment to the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda is reflected in his earlier proclamation, “Ondo For Tinubu 2027”.
“Our people are seeing and feeling the impact of good governance. From road projects to health, education, and empowerment, we are building a foundation that makes it easy to sell the Renewed Hope message in Ondo State,” Aiyedatiwa said.
The governor said the positive impact of his administration’s programmes would translate into electoral support for Tinubu in 2027.
“Every action we take that impacts the people positively is a vote for the president. Every of the 6,000 jobs we have created is a vote for the president. Every road we build attract votes for the president. Every political appointment we make has multiplier effects that translate to more votes for the president,” he said.
Aiyedatiwa added that the president’s vision was aligned with his administration’s programmes in Ondo State, expressing confidence that the people would reward the policies with their votes.
“The President’s vision aligns with what we are doing here, and our people will reward that with their votes in 2027,” he said.
The governor also assured the City Boy Movement and other groups mobilising support for Tinubu that his administration would provide the necessary backing for their activities.
He said all groups campaigning for the president in the state would be carried along and supported to achieve their objectives.
The City Boy Movement delegation, led by its state coordinators, Oluwafemi Ayejusunle and Tomide Akinribido, had visited the governor to brief him on the group’s structure, activities and grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group also sought the support and collaboration of the state government for its operations across Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa commended the organisation for its commitment to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its advocacy for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Earlier, Ayejusunle praised the governor for what he described as exemplary leadership and for aligning Ondo State with the Tinubu administration.
He said the group would intensify grassroots sensitisation and mobilisation efforts to secure greater support for Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami; Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Fasoranti; and Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Abiola Olawoye.
