The National President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, has assured the family of the late veteran actor, Adedeji Aderemi, aka Olofa’na, of the association’s continued support.

Amusan, who spoke in Ede, Osun State, on Friday at the eighth day Fridau for the late Olofa Ina, added that TAMPAN supported the deceased actor when he was sick.

Olofa Ina died on Thursday, January 4, 2023, at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile Ife, Osun State, after battling ill health. He was interred the next day at his Wakajaye residence in Ede.

Addressing guests at the Fidau, Amusan, who led a delegation of TAMPAN members to the event, said, “Olofa Ina has done his own and he has gone. We will never forget him, nor the family he left behind.

“By the grace of God, we will never forget our own because he supported us and associated with us. When baba was sick and was admitted at OAUTH, we sent some people to visit him.

“When he died eight days ago, 12 elders of the group visited, but today there are a lot of us here. We appreciate him, we will not forget him because he was good to us and we will not forget his legacy.”

Earlier in his sermon, Sheikh Abdullahi Olohunlomerue, called on theatre practitioners to avoid the use of words that could have negative implications on their private lives in movies.
