The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants seeking positions in the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and other zonal offices will commence on Thursday, March 12.
The exercise is part of preparations for the party’s National Convention scheduled for March 27 and 28 in Abuja, where new national officers are expected to emerge.
According to the APC’s adjusted 2026 schedule of nationwide congresses and convention activities, the submission of completed expression of interest and nomination forms will close on Monday, March 16.
In a notice signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, all aspirants are required to pay a uniform fee of N100,000 for the expression of interest form.
The party fixed the nomination form for the office of National Chairman at N10 million, while aspirants seeking the positions of Deputy National Chairman and National Secretary will pay N7.5 million each.
Nomination forms for the remaining 21 positions in the National Working Committee have been pegged at N5 million each, while aspirants vying for seats in the National Executive Committee (NEC) will purchase forms at N250,000.
However, the party granted concessions to female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities, who are required to pay only the expression of interest fee and 50 per cent of the nomination fee for the offices they intend to contest.
The APC also announced that screening committees for the zonal congresses and the national convention, along with their appeal panels, will be inaugurated on March 23.
Screening of aspirants for the zonal congresses and the national convention is scheduled to take place on March 24, while zonal congresses will hold on March 25 across the six geopolitical zones.
Under the arrangement, the Southwest zonal congress will be held in Ibadan, while Enugu will host the South-East congress. The South-South congress will be jointly hosted by Rivers and Cross River states.
In the northern region, Kaduna will host the North-West congress, while Gombe and Bauchi states will jointly host the North-East congress. The North-Central zonal congress will take place in Nasarawa State.
The party further stated that appeals arising from the zonal congresses will be heard on March 26, a day before the commencement of the national convention in the Federal Capital Territory.
The two-day convention is expected to bring together party leaders and delegates from across the country to elect new members of the APC’s national leadership.
