The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Youth Province One has settled the medical bills of eight newborn babies at the Mother and Child Centre of Amuwo-Odofin General Hospital, Lagos, in a humanitarian gesture marking the birthday of its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.
The intervention, disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the Assistant Pastor in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Pastor Martins Olusakin, also included the donation of essential medical supplies aimed at supporting maternal and child healthcare services for a month.
The outreach was spearheaded by the pastor in charge of the province, Pastor Leke Adeboye, alongside Olusakin and the assistant pastor in charge of administration, Pastor Abiodun Famojuro.
According to the statement, the initiative was expanded through a partnership with Shola Olowolafe and Adeola Olowolafe of RCCG Graceville, enabling the programme to reach more than seven Mother and Child Centre hospitals across Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, Leke Adeboye said the gesture was inspired by the teachings and legacy of the church’s General Overseer, emphasising the importance of compassion and service.
“The life and teachings of our father in the Lord inspire us to give, uplift, and stand in the gap for those in need. This outreach is a reflection of that calling, bringing hope where it is most needed,” he said.
The church noted that the intervention underscores its commitment to humanitarian service and community development, adding that it will continue to translate its faith into meaningful impact across society.
