Oyebanji appoints 10 new permanent secretaries to strengthen Ekiti civil service

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved the appointment of ten new permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

According to the governor, the move is part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening leadership within the civil service and enhancing effective service delivery across all sectors.

A statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the governor on media, Yinka Oyebode, revealed that the appointments were made following a rigorous examination and selection process.

“The appointment of the Permanent Secretaries follows their success in the highly competitive examination and selection process,” Oyebode stated.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries include Engr. (Dr) S.O. Ibijola, Mr. Olaonipekun Eweje, Dr. Sunday Omoya, Mr. Morakinyo Oluwatoyin Akilo, Mr. Adelusi Adebanji Lateef, Pharm. Ejimokun Bunmi Peter, and Mr. Olufemi Babaseinde Adediran.

Others are Mr. Ayoola Clement I., Mr. Bayode Ogunmola Lawrence, and Engr. Toyin Mercy Ojelabi-Pedro.

Oyebode further announced that the swearing-in ceremony for the appointees will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The development is seen as a key step in Governor Oyebanji’s ongoing reforms to reposition Ekiti’s civil service as a model of professionalism and efficiency.
