Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, relieving the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof Olanike Adeyemo, of her appointment with immediate effect.
The development was announced on Monday in Ibadan in a statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
According to the statement, Governor Makinde has appointed Prof Musibau Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government.
As part of the cabinet adjustments, the governor also redeployed Temilolu Ashamu from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
In addition, Makinde announced his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, as a commissioner-designate. Aderinto is expected to be forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for legislative screening and confirmation.
The governor further approved the appointment of Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security, while Kolawole Elijah Akanmu was named Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
The changes, the statement indicated, take effect immediately.
