Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke; the Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin (Aroyinkeye 1); and president of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Israel Adelani Akanji, are among the dignitaries expected at the 40th anniversary of KIDVARC Nursery and Primary School and the 30th anniversary of KIDVARC High School, Iree, Osun State.

The proprietor, Prince Oyeyemi Omotoso, disclosed this during a press briefing held to outline activities marking the dual celebrations. The institutions were founded by the late Dr. Samuel Oyedokun Omotoso, a distinguished educationist and pioneer Secretary to the Osun State Government, who also served as the inaugural provost of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun.

According to the proprietor, several senior government officials, traditional rulers, and academics from within and outside Osun State are expected to attend the event.

He added that the commemorations would also include activities honouring the 15th remembrance anniversary of the late founder, whose contributions to education in the state remain widely acknowledged.

Omotoso commended the alumni for their continued support, noting that the schools have maintained the founder’s vision of academic excellence decades after his passing.

As part of the celebration, several capital projects executed by the alumni are scheduled for commissioning.

The grand finale will take place on Saturday, December 13, at the Leisure Spring Hotel, Osogbo, featuring thanksgiving activities and a remembrance service in honour of Dr. Omotoso.

Highlighting the schools’ accomplishments, Omotoso said their greatest achievement remains the consistent delivery of quality education across all levels. He stated that the institutions have recorded numerous awards at local, state and national competitions over the past four decades.

He further noted that KIDVARC schools have produced first-class graduates excelling in diverse professions, including banking, medicine, engineering, law, journalism, education, and business. Current students, he added, continue to demonstrate exceptional performances in both academic and extracurricular engagements.
