The Lagos State University (LASU), Epe Campus, is set to inaugurate a 350-capacity University Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre as part of activities marking its combined 29th and 30th convocation ceremonies.
The university also plans to hold a ground-breaking ceremony for a new Faculty of Engineering Complex at the Epe Campus.
LASU disclosed this in a statement published on its official social media platform on Saturday, saying the activities are part of efforts to expand infrastructure and strengthen academic facilities at the campus.
According to the university, the programme will commence at 9:00 a.m. with the inauguration of the 350-capacity University ICT Centre.
The inauguration will be followed by a procession to the site of the proposed Faculty of Engineering Complex, where the ground-breaking ceremony will take place.
LASU said the infrastructure projects are intended to support the continued development of the Epe Campus and provide improved facilities for teaching, learning and other academic activities.
As part of the convocation programme, the university will also present diplomas, first degrees, postgraduate diplomas and master’s degrees to graduands in engineering and agricultural sciences.
The awards ceremony, alongside the conferment of a distinguished professorship, will be held at the Olatunji Bello Auditorium, Epe Campus.
The combined 29th and 30th Convocation ceremonies cover the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic sessions.
The university congratulated the graduands, their parents and guardians, as well as other stakeholders and members of the LASU community, on the occasion.
The planned inauguration and ground-breaking ceremonies highlight the university’s ongoing investment in infrastructure as it continues to expand academic facilities at its Epe Campus.
