Remo Stars maintained their impressive run of form with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over regional rivals Shooting Stars SC in a keenly contested South-West derby in Ikenne.

The clash lived up to its billing, with both sides showing intensity and tactical discipline, but Remo Stars’ resilience proved decisive as they secured all three points to strengthen their early-season push.

Elsewhere across the Nigeria Premier Football League, results painted a varied picture. In Ilorin, Kwara United delivered a commanding 3–0 win over El Kanemi Warriors, underlining their intent with a dominant display.

In Kano, Kano Pillars were in ruthless form, thrashing Bendel Insurance 4–0 in one of the most emphatic performances of the matchday.

At the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu Rangers International were held to a goalless draw by Barau FC, despite creating several scoring opportunities.

A surprise result saw Kun Khalifat FC edge Nasarawa United 1–0 in a tightly fought encounter, while Warri Wolves FC secured a solid 2–0 win over Rivers United.

With momentum building, attention will remain firmly on South-West contenders like Remo Stars, whose consistency could prove crucial in shaping the early direction of the NPFL season.
