The National Working Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a sweeping political shake-up affecting its structures in Enugu and Ekiti states following its 179th meeting in Abuja.

According to the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, the party dissolved the leadership of its Enugu State chapter, citing persistent internal conflicts and unresolved factional crises.

In a decisive move targeting the upcoming Ekiti off-cycle governorship election, the committee also disqualified two aspirants – Kayode Ojo and Olajumoke Abimbola – from the race.

The decision is expected to reshape political calculations ahead of the Ekiti poll, heightening tension within the party as the race to the governorship ticket narrows. This may have technically ceded the ticket to the incumbent Governor Abiodun Oyebanji
