A fifteen-year-old and two adults were confirmed dead by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), after an uncompleted two-storey building collapsed at Northern Vulture Estate, Chevron Drive, Lekki, Lagos, on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, no fewer than six people were also seriously injured in the incident.
“A young boy, about 15 years old, and two adult males recovered, were confirmed dead and subsequently bagged by emergency responders.
“They were handed over to SEHMU officials. Also, six victims were rescued alive and attended to by the medical team,” Oke-Osanyintolu noted.
The senior official added that the collapsed building had been completely demolished after the search and rescue operation was concluded.
